This six-song collection features a stellar lineup of progressive rock legends, including Tony Levin (bass and Chapman Stick), Pat Mastelotto (drums), and Markus Reuter (Touch Guitars and loops), all alumni of the iconic band King Crimson. The EP showcases an extraordinary blend of pop sensibilities and virtuosic musicianship. The collaboration came to fruition when Stick Men visited Jacksonville during their East Coast tour in March 2024. Seizing the opportunity, the group spent a day recording at Endangered Wise Men studios with gold record-winning engineer Rick Grice. The sessions were marked by intricate charts, shifting meters, and dynamic chord changes, all fuelled by strong coffee and the collective expertise of these seasoned musicians. The result is six remarkable tracks recorded with fluidity, style, and grace. Mister Toomey then crafted poignant lyrics and recorded the vocals, transforming this instrumental brilliance into complete songs. The mixing and mastering process was handled by Markus Reuter and collaborator Fabio Trentini (Moonbound, H-Blockx, Guano Apes) at Cozy Barn in the Italian Dolomites, yielding a collection of tracks that are both con- temporary and timeless.
